(Work in Progress) [Extremely Serious] An Open Letter to All Singaporeans.

THIS IS A WORK IN PROGRESS, TAKE THESE WITH A GRAIN OF SALT BEFORE ITS ACTUALLY FINISHED.

Dear Mr/Ms,
An Open Letter to All Singaporeans from a Hikikomori.

Fast paced society with perfectionist/high expectations cite examples
Examples of perfectionist/high expectations:
Must get A for each subject
Comparing of PSLE scores to rate good schools from bad schools -.-
Emphasis of paper qualifications, must get degree as bare minimum these days.
Must be number 1 in most things, eg. number 1 airport, etc.
Culture of Kiasu, being "scared to lose out", makes us competitive which is a double edged sword, leading for us to have a good economy but at the expense of more mentally ill people.

Make reference to Lee Kuan Yew, say maybe his authoritarian rule, detaining political opponent's, make it harder for us to speak up, link to OB
Say strive for excellence not perfection
Start with self introduction say how i last minute revise for o levels, say syllabus should reward preparation but give chance to people like me
Say it could be because of how orderly and strict we are that's why our arts scene and overall creativity is poor because we just have the follower mindset

However I would prefer authoritarian rule because it provides law and order and stability.
Germans in Weimar Germany may have voted for Nazis because they wanted stability and law and order when Germany was weakened after WWI and under the democratic Weimar Republic.

However, if I were to be involved in politics, I would be moderate but leaning towards authoritarianism (for now).
